How are all my April sleevers doing?

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to give a shout out to see how everyone is doing at 3 mos out. I am down 50lbs!!! Went to a baby shower yesterday, couldn't decide which outfit I wanted to wear as opposed to what I had to wear. Lots of people who haven't seen me, have to admit it was a lot of fun to mingle and socialize as opposed to sitting at my table and trying to be invisible until it was over. Went to the beach last Sunday with hubby, its been 13 years!!! Attended a concert and danced in the aisles. I haven't enjoyed summer in years, life is fantastic would love to hear from everyone!

I am doing great! I have lost 58 lbs and just 2 lbs from onederland!! People are starting to notice my weight loss and that makes me feel good (I didn't tell many people about my surgery). I'm wearing clothes that I haven't worn in years. The best part is the energy! I haven't had this much in energy in so long. It feels amazing!!! :)

Sleeved 4/4 and feeling great! All of my clothes are too big, but I'm not going shopping until I hit ONEderland, so I still have some work to do. Some days it's still a struggle to get in all of the Protein, and I had some issues with hydration early on, but I have no regrets!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
