jiminy_cricket 14 Posted July 16, 2017 I had my sleeve done on June 15, 2017 and even though the first 2 weeks were ruff, I'm slowly doing much better. I find myself drinking over 64oz a Water each day and only using the bathroom maybe once or twice. Is the common? Should I call the doctor? Is this serious? Noworneverthin 59 Posted July 16, 2017 You may be dehydrated or something like your kidneys are not filtering correctlySent from my LGMS550 using BariatricPal mobile app 2 jiminy_cricket and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Berry78 4,261 Posted July 16, 2017 Kidney problems can crop up suddenly. I'd go ahead to an ER and get checked out. If you're dehydrated they can give you some fluids, but they can do a quick blood test to check your kidneys while they're at it. What color is your urine? 2 Sosewsue61 and jiminy_cricket reacted to this
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted July 16, 2017 I 2nd going directly to the ER, please don't wait, it's better to find out, kidney function is nothing to take chances on. Good luck and keep us posted. 1 jiminy_cricket reacted to this

jiminy_cricket 14 Posted July 18, 2017 I literally just read all of the comments and I'm calling my surgeon now. My urine is light yellow, which is good, but I'm still not understanding the Water retention. Keep you guys posted. 1 Berry78 reacted to this
Noworneverthin 59 Posted July 20, 2017 August 9th is my surgery date. Yikes I am so nervous and scared, but really excitedSent from my LGMS550 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 jiminy_cricket reacted to this
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted July 20, 2017 Well it is 100 degrees here and I am retaining Water. My urine is light in color as always. The more weight I lost the less I urinate because my bladder has so much more room, it holds a lot more. I urinate for what seems like forever now. Also not diabetic anymore either, far fewer bathroom trips period. 5 jiminy_cricket, Monkeyfulbrighter, alcn1derlnd and 2 others reacted to this
Berry78 4,261 Posted July 21, 2017 At least 4 bathroom trips a day is a good rule of thumb.. that's really not many! Once when you wake up, once at bedtime, and just twice all day. Once a day means she wakes up and pees, but doesn't go again until the next morning. That is VERY concerning, no matter how big her bladder is. 2 Sosewsue61 and jiminy_cricket reacted to this
