unflavored protein powder

Recommended Posts

Do you have a favorite tasteless Protein Powder that you sprinkle on food? There are too many to choose from and I want something that will not change consistency or taste, and mixes well. I am 4 weeks post-op and I drink 1 premier shake per day, but want to add a little extra Protein.

I like unjury. For some reason, I don't tolerate Protein Shakes and powders well. But I can handle their unflavored one just fine. Good luck!

Welll...I know I will get blasted about this because there are a few people that don't agree with my choice of Protein.. I love GENEPRO BTW I am 4 years out and I have tried sooo many Proteins I would hate to find out how much $$$ I actually have spent. So anyhow this is the only Protein unflavored which is unflavored. I mix it in my Espresso every day. It cost a little more but oh so worth it. Good Luck

Also I forgot to say...they sell GENEPRO at the BariatricPal Store. If it was so bad for us would they be selling it? Just another thought.

Well like any STORE the silly answer to that is to make a living.

To the OP-science behind genepro is questionable. Make sure and read the threads and do your research about it.

I found Syntrax (people who make Nectar)...they have a medical grade one, unflavored that I got in a sample pack (ordered a bunch of samples from somewhere, maybe Vitalady or something - forget)...anyway, that one worked well for me.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
