coyote 93 Posted July 14, 2017 My surgery is on Monday, July 17th and it's starting to dawn on me that this is actually happening. I'm starting to get cold feet (which i'm sure is normal!) so for all you that have went through this process: how has weight loss surgery changed your life? MKirkman328 6 Posted August 5, 2017 I have more energy than I have had in years! I am 9 weeks out from surgery, over 30 lbs gone and down 2 sizes. Best thing I could have done for myself!Sent from my K88 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Alyssa_T reacted to this
BigDog Bryan 262 Posted August 14, 2017 I have lost the equivalent of a fully grown man since my surgery 20 months ago. My waist size does NOT begin with a 5 OR a 4 My scale is no longer an Industrial Version that can show 400+ pounds I am NO LONGER a Diabetic Walking is something that simply happens, not a carefully thought out plan I can buy my clothes at Old Navy instead of a Big & Tall shop I can play Golf again My daughter said "I got my Dad back" 3 coyote, Ldyvenus and Sleeved in DFW :-) reacted to this
BelgianGuy 350 Posted August 15, 2017 More confidence, no more sleep apneas, loads of energy and finding out I actually love hiking, walking, swimming. I can buy normal clothes and not gigantic absurd parachutes, I can see my feet... No more sweating a ton every time I take the stairs, no more grossed out looks in public transportation, more attention and respect from strangers (that's sad in a way but well). The list could go on for hours. Just hold on for the first weeks are not easy, but it's all worth it, I've been out since February 2016 and my weight stabilized over 5months ago, and I feel great physically (except for the bit of excess belly skin, but it's nothing compared to obesity). 1 coyote reacted to this
Molly23 275 Posted August 18, 2017 Sleeved on April 20, 2017 and I wouldn't take it back for anything! I had seriously cold feet and even considered backing out the morning of surgery. Thankful I didn't because I'm now down 84lbs since my highest weight. My favorite moments so far:I no longer need to shop in plus sizesI actually fit in one of those tiny swings at an amusement park!My chronic ankle pain is no longer a daily issueNo more CPAP machine Lowered my blood pressure medsI don't feel as anxious about being in public Ultimately surgery has made me feel so much more hopeful about my future and it's been a long time since I've felt that way. 1 coyote reacted to this
