ladycharizar 44 Posted July 13, 2017 I'm feeling on the fence these last couple of days...it was such a let down to get pushed back 2 weeks...I feel a little like to just cancel...[emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]Whaaat they pushed it back ? Ugh, I would be so disappointed but keep your chin up! You didn't come all this way for nothing !
sporters 3 Posted July 16, 2017 I completed all but one of my insurance carrier requirements and all of my surgeon requirements on the 12th. The only thing I have left is to get my psych evaluation results on the 19th. I'm told that it takes up to two weeks to get carrier approval, and once I get the OK it's another two weeks to get my surgery scheduled. Looking at August from the sounds of it [emoji3] 1 Crissy74 reacted to this
Noworneverthin 59 Posted July 16, 2017 I'm cash paying because of a low bmi, so I have found my surgeon and I am definitely getting sleeved in August. I had my consult, blood work, 1/2 dietician class, and my psych eval and EKG medical clearance is this Wed. Afterwards, one more visit with dietician and Dr and I'm on the books! Excited, scared, moody, all of what you guys have stated but I'm not backing out. This is a life change I must make for my health and for me.Sent from my LGMS550 using BariatricPal mobile app

Seamehyde 29 Posted July 17, 2017 WOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My surgery just got changed to August 1st. Now I have to hurry and get my college work and exams done before then............this will allow me 2 1/2 weeks before I begin my last semester of college............I may even get more than a Popsicle for my birthday on the 29. Less time to research and cruise on this site but......so happy I will get a little re-coup time. I'll check in tonight for some more reading! Back to school work. I'm a almost 54 year old starting a new career. I worked in food all my life and owned my own place for over 23 years. My life revolved around food...............this is definately going to be a journey but, one I'm looking forward to. 2 Naturelover and Heatco reacted to this

Unfortunately though, my birthday is the 19th, so I will only just be allowed to eat mushy foods. Not much of a bday celebration, but I excited for the weight to come off! Seamehyde 29 Posted July 21, 2017 Thanks Dizzy, Newbie, and all. I'm really excited. Just got home from my last Dr. Visit, and paying hospital and anesthesia (self-pay). I think I'll be ok with the phasing of food. I'm just happy it will be a month before my birthday. I don't want to be feeling bad in front of company.....we always Celebrate birthdays. Plus, college starts back the 17th, so I will have 2 weeks to recoup if I have a rough start. I can't wait to see how we all do. I'm really looking forward to getting off a lot of meds and getting some energy after a bit. I do know I will probably feel wiped out for a month or two but..........that shall pass.
