Recommended Posts

do you have a SAMS club there>>if you do they are about 13$ for a case of 12..

That's weird. Mine are normally $16.99. I think they had a coupon this time that made them cheaper but that's not the normal price.

Are you moving your bowels? If not, get some Miralax. You could have some of this weight gain from Constipation bloating.

Whatever weight you've gained, it's not fat. (not this early out!). You are probably retaining Fluid. The best way to "let it go", is to keep on drinking. Pay attention to the salt content of your food. Aim for around 1500-2000mg a day. Coconut Water will help with electrolytes.
And check your scale. It could be inaccurate too. Step on it several times in a row, and see if it weighs you the same each time.

Thank you so much.. I was thinking how when I can't even eat that much.. I will be drinking my protien .. And I weigh myself at work .. I'm going to check that scale out.. And that's one thing my nut mentioned was to check my sodium content.. So I've been low sodium everything.. I only been drinking 33 oz of water .. They want me at 64 oz I gotta do this

You just revealed some of the issue - only 33oz of liquid and no shakes (liquid and protein). You are partially dehydrated and your body is holding onto everything for dear life. Drink at least twice that.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
