Hi, I had gastric bypass surgery June 26, 2017. I had my second follow up and the doctor informed I have inflammation/ Fluid behind on of my incisions. They are saying I need to take Mobic they also want me to take omerazole and I am extremely nervous

Why mobic? PostOp bariatric patients shouldn't have NSAIDS. I only know one person who takes them and that's because she has to take opioids for pain and the docs decided to swap her meds

Taking the Mobic could cause ulcers from what I was told. Actually any kind of nsaid can. Seems you might need an antibiotic instead. Omeprazole is an acid reducer to help your stomach heal so definitely take that one.

GAWildKat due to the inflammation and the pain I am having in this area my doctor suggested I take it. It was recommended by my doctor and one of the senior doctors. They stated the mobic will help reduce the inflammation.
