lulubellhatfield 1 Posted July 9, 2017 So im going to have an operation in the morning to fix my "candy cane syndrome". i had several attacks of pancreatitis and upon getting a scope done with my bariatric doctore, we found what was potentially the cause. Right where the stomach is attatched to the small intestine, my intestine has what was comparable to a bubble on a tire. A weak spot that has ballooned out. No getting past it , it has to be fixed before something happens. I had several bouts of bowel obstruction, followed by pancreatits. Talk about pain ! nothing can compare to the pain I experienced....Has anyone ever had any experience with this syndrome? what was your outcome? tell me about your experience...and don't you think that is one hell of a name for it? sharkeatyou 5 Posted September 18, 2017 This is something I think I might have. I see my surgeon tomorrow for another follow up. I have been in pain for nearly 2 years. I am even considering a reversal or a takedown.
