maceycarey 0 Posted July 8, 2017 I'm 27 bmi 37 I have mildly elevated cholesterol, asthma, depression. I just had 4 hernias repaired on 1/17 and gallbladder removed when I was only 14. I have considered the sleeve for a few years and my weight just keeps climbing and I'm not successful at losing and keeping it off. I have Medicaid and I live in Houston Texas. If anyone has any info or tips that would help I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you
Introversion 1,876 Posted July 8, 2017 Although I did not have Medicaid, I was approved with a BMI of 37 and high cholesterol as a comorbid condition. I had a height of 5'1 and a weight of 199.5 pounds at the time of approval.
GassyGurl 428 Posted July 8, 2017 I don't have medicaid either, but make sure you understand if your policy has a weight history requirement. Mine requires 2 years above 35 Bmi, with no dropping below. I was 35 in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017. Since I was slightly below during 2016, they wouldn't cover me. maceycarey 0 Posted July 9, 2017 You think mildly elevated? I think for technical high it has to be 240 and mine is 233 and good is below 199 ... I need this so bad and I'm scared it will get denied cause I'm not "bad enough "
