Does size matter?

I have a 10cc band. What is the difference between the smaller and larger bands. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to either?

I believe the only difference is the size of the band and how much fill it can take. The larger the band the longer it may to get a tighter restriction. It seems Docs are using the larger bands more often these days.

My understanding is that they use different sized bands based on the size that is needed for proper fit.

I understand it has little to do with your weight....it has more to do with the size of your organs - the surgeon doesn't make a decision until he gets inside and looks around and sees what size is most appropriate for your body parts. All sizes of bands work the same, the only difference is the amount of fills that they put n afterward.
