1 month after surgery:

Boss: I don't understand why we can't just make things work on this project.

Me: I don't understand why you can't get what I'm saying through your fuckin' head.

Boss: I don't need to put up with this from you, and he walked away.

Me, Loud enough for all to hear: Bye Felicia!

Spent 2 months in the doghouse for that one.

Oh. Mah. Gawd. I spewed coffee all over the keyboard and almost landed a double fontaine that even an East Germany judge would have given at least a 9.9 for degree of difficulty! Hi-LAR-ious!

Hello everyone! I'm new on here. I was sleeved on 6/19/17 and here lately my moods swings are just uncontrollable! I'm happy then crying or mad at the world and for no reason! Can Anyone else relate to this? Am I the only one emoji17.png

I am not quite this unhinged, but I will say that when I get my period or around that time, I am raging b***h. When I do get mad or sad or angry.. its worse than it was previous. I think it has a lot of do with hormones... Hopefully they will line back up for you, and you will get back to your normal self. Good luck!

I cried all day yesterday for no apparent reason. Today I'm fine. It's weird, for sure!

Last night my husband and I just talked about this. I feel like all my vices were taken from me i can't eat my feelings, drink or smoke. But I'm trying to use exercise as a vice but it's hard.

When you lose weight all the stuff stored in your fat comes out. It's normal to feel this way for sure. :)

I'm only 7 days out and I feel really depressed I guess because my relationship with food is over. Breakups are never easy. I keep reading that it gets better though and once I start eating real food I'll feel normal again

I have been fortunate not to have mood swings post op. I did become quite irate for no reason during the preop phase. I was on Optifast for 2 weeks. I was hangry for most of the 1st week and felt like I could punch people in the throat if they looked at me the wrong way. The only thing that kept me from doing so was that it is illegal....lol.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
