What should I get from Chipotle?

Recommended Posts

Been looking up calories, carbs and Protein intake from the burrito bowl at Chipotle. My first day back to work (I work at a fast food place, so nothing I can really eat there.) And I got the okay to go swimming recently, so I have been swimming while playing with kids in the pool. (Tossing a hair clip in the pool and diving to grab it.) was one way to work out in the pool. But it did leave me dizzy a bit! When I got out, the young adults next to me (I am 26, but I know I was a few years older so I feel old.) were talking about BBQ. I was so into that idea, but for a possible healthier way of eating, was thinking burrito bowl. But I dunno what I should have with it. I know no rice but the Guacamole is seducing me. What do you usually get for the burrito bowl?

I cheated a bit on the fourth with some Desserts. I have no regrets, but I am back on where I need to be with healthy eating.

I am also 5 weeks out, woot!

What's wrong with BBQ? Grilled meat is a great source of protein! Just don't drown it with BBQ Sauce.< br>
From chipotle when I was early out I would just get a side of meat (yup they will do that in a little 2 oz container!)

Next step for me was burrito bowl with fajita veggies and meat.

Then I added salsa and maybe sour cream or guac.

Now I can do a salad bowl and every so often add the Beans.< br>

My fiancé and I don't have a grill, nor did we have gas money to drive to my parent's or grab the meat. XD So we were kind of stuck there. Next time though!

I get meat - usually carnitas, as beef is hard on me. No rice. Salsa, Beans, guac (but I ask for them to go easy), cheese, sour cream.

Easily 2-3 meals, even 7 years out.

Ah I was just confused by your initial post then, you said they were talking about BBQ and you thought of chipotle as a possible healthier way of eating. I thought you meant it was healthier than BBQ.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
