Im sure this has been posted before but when can you start working out agin? Im 2 weeks post op. Im sure now isn't a great time to head back to working out. I can do cardio by walking but I'm just ready to start using wights and running again.

TIA

Each bariatric program has different rules regarding when their post-op patients can start/resume exercise.

My program permitted leisurely walking from the first post-op day. All other exercise (weightlifting, moderate to vigorous aerobics) was allowed during the sixth post-op week.

Man I remember when I was two weeks out I wanted nothing to do with working out. Went to my daughters graduation and was out of breath walking to the car... now at 1 month out I can't wait to get on a workout regimen.. so I csn get to my goal weight only 51 more lbs

I'm 22 days out now. I asked my Doc about this at my 14 day consult. I was told that running and other high intensity cardio was fine for me at 14 days. (but I was completely healed on the outside by then). I was told no weight training until 6 weeks out.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
