sharon23 26 Posted June 28, 2017 I had gastric sleeve surgery June 14, 2017. I'm 2 weeks post op today and I've only lost 3lbs. I've followed my diet I'm not exercising yet but I do walk. I'm probably consuming 500-600 calories a day. I'm getting the 64oz of Water and anywhere between 60-90 gm Protein. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this? Navigating the Wilderness 824 Posted June 28, 2017 My advice is to stay off the scale for the first month post-op. Your body will be going through all kinds of changes and thus the first month is very hard to make any claims one way or the other regarding weight loss. 4 Noworneverthin, blizair09, Newme17 and 1 other reacted to this

I went to my follow up appointment with the surgeon. He said I should have lost more weight. I try to stay off the scale.

If you are following the guidelines you stated, then you will most definitely start losing weight. Could be your salt intake is causing you to retaining Water, or could be some type of meds you are on, either way I would not worry about it at this point in your journey. 2 Newme17 and Noworneverthin reacted to this
Sleeve1stFitNext 924 Posted June 28, 2017 I would suggest staying away from the scale too. My first month, I did not step on the scale. It was also because I was having a horrible recovery and did not care if I lost weight.

It was also because I was having a horrible recovery and did not care if I lost weight. I haven't been weighing myself at home. I went in for my post-op with the surgeon. I'm gonna stay of the scale until I go to the doctor 1 month from now. Hopefully I'll have a good loss then.
