Multi Vitamins/Minerals in Chewable, Liquid or Powder form

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am having some trouble trying to find a really good, reputable brand that provides both Multi Vitamins & Minerals all in one dose.

I do get some material from Nutrition Express and they have some Multi Vitamin/Mineral formula in powder form (mixes in 8 oz. of Water to make an orangy tasting mix), but when I look at the Nutrition Facts, it has crazy, almost insane amounts of it. Like some are 8333% RDA!! Lindberg - Varsity 2 Powder Vitamin/Mineral Formula 3 Pounds - Save 37% No way, my body does not need that much!! I'm shocked over this, is this even remotely safe?

Anyway, I would just like it to be a normal dose. Not much over the 100% RDA -- Any suggestions out there? :help:

I had been taking the Centrum but to me it was gross so I just got some Kmart brand called vitasmart multiple Vitamins w/iron I was leary of the with Iron but when I looked at the label it has the reg amount of iron as do the rest, this only has 11 vitamins but hey I wasnt even taking any before so I got these to start..and they are SMALL about the size of a ibuprofin thats why I bought them and when I think of it I take some liquid B complex ~Chantay

I am taking Nature's Plus liquit vitamin/mineral supplement. It also has whole food concentrate that probably helps give it the lovely spirulina/chlorophill color! It has a tropical flavor and really isn't too bad. It sure beats the taste of kids liquid Advil!

I also get their chewable Calcium hearts, chewable C, and chewable Zinc. The best prices I have found are on Buy Discount Vitamins, supplements, Low Carb and More at www.Vitacost.com . Oh, I also purchase my Protein Powder, made by Jarrow, there. It is $10 less per tub than at the health food store.

I don't take Flinstones or Centrum. I once saw a great demonstration...put one in vinegar and see how long it takes to dissolve! Cured me!

Great, thanks for the suggestions! They are really good ones. I'll check out all that have been given.

Thanks again.

PS, does anyone actually just crush their vit/mins into a powder and just take it that way? If so, does it have a terribly heinous taste to it, or is it even recommended?

I have a brand I have been taking for a long time now and I just love it. I get it from costco, 400 pills for about 12 bucks. Can't beat that. However it is simply huge and I know I will have problems taking it after surgery.
