I submitted before I meant to, and don't want to edit all that, so just add to my list the difficulty in finding pants (which is how I got to this post from the jeans talk). I can go "average" and look like I'm gonna go dig for clams, or I can go "tall" and have the bottoms of my cuffs drag on the ground, a l'emo.

Usually I go with the talls and wear heels, but sometimes I would like to wear flats without having dirty pant legs. Or looking foolish.

I've found ONE pair of pants that have the perfect length for me, and I bought it in the next 3 sizes down, went back to get second pairs, and they were no where to be found (got them at Gordman's, so you never know what the inventory will be like from day to day).

I'm short enough that capri-length regulars look like regular pants that have shrunk. If I go with tall-length capris, I can have regular pants!

I went to a Vanity Fair outlet and found PERFECT khakis. So I went back and got the next two sizes down. I'm ALMOST in the middle size. I can fit in them and zip them, but they're a little snugger than I like to wear them (I generally prefer my pants to be a little loose, probably 1/4-1/2 size too large).

Wheet- Yup.. my first job- Burger King. When I had to get fries, the top was so far down, I had to bend all the way over to get in there.. and it killed my already messed up back.

And buffets, same thing. I have always hated buffets, for more reasons than just that but I always have to stoop down to try to get in there.

As for pants, you should check out alloy.. they have dress pants & jeans.. the inseam increments are from 30-37"

You can search by size (I.e. Size 13 34" inseam) and it pulls up all the jeans or pants in that size.

Well, hell. I need a 28" inseam.

LOL! That's why I wasn't telling you to go there

I figured you probably wouldn't benefit from 'extended inseams'. But since Wheet seems to be in my boat, the extended inseams would help her out.

And I am not a giant (well, not really). I'm 6'0, but my legs are really long (I don't have a long torso really). I wear 37" inseams.

1) One physical (other than weight) thing about yourself, what would it be?

I want to say be rid of this stomach skin...but that is tied in with the weight issue....but that is realllllllllly what I want changed.

2) One non-physical thing about yourself (mental, situation, etc.), what would it be?

I would want to be more patient...and I am quite sure those around me would want that too!!!

1) One physical (other than weight) thing about spouse, what would it be?

That he be physically healthy--he has had a rough 15 months--heart surgeries, GI bleeds, etc. I want his general health to return now...

2) One non-physical thing about your spouses (mental, situation, etc.), what would it be?

That he would have the ability to recognize health when it returns, he is begining to see the glass as half empty---he never did that before all these health issues---I want his good outlook back....I need it!

If you could change:

1) One physical (other than weight) thing about yourself, what would it be?

I want smooth, freckle free, gloriously golden brown PERFECT skin! Beautiful skin would be a fabulous thing to have, not that I have bad or really awful skin but I'm just your average freckled caucasian.

I'll ditto this, too. I have horrible skin. Oily, acne scars, current acne, freckles, you name it.

For me the physical thing would be my body type: I am very apple shaped and I think that even when I get to goal, I will be thick in the middle. The mental or situational would be that I never really decided what I would like to do for a living (even at 45). I feel like I missed my calling somehow.

For hubby, I wish he was taller. He is about my height but I had always liked taller men. I also wish he was more goal-oriented. But I still LOVE him dearly!

And how about the same two questions, only now applied to your partner/spouse?

1) My arms and legs would be proportionate. My arms are short and my legs are long, so suits have to be altered.

2) I'd like to just be 'in the moment' more often. I live in overdrive and can't do anything without multi-tasking.

1a) Physically my younger DH is hot and perfect! Maybe have thicker hair where the family bald spot is.

2a) Have his A.D.D. go away so that he wouldn't need meds.

I would love to have beautiful wavy/curly long hair like the models/actresses do.

2) One non-physical thing about yourself (mental, situation, etc.), what would it be?

I would like to be able to afford to buy a condo closer to my family. Right now I'm about an hour away.

I'd like to have a beautiful smile. I have small teeth, which never show when I talk or smile.

I'd like to be more productive, I spend way too much time on the computer.

My hubby, he's completely bald, which is fine with me, but I'm sure he would love to have a head full of hair.

He's a wonderful father and grandfather, needs attention in being a better husband, (IMO), he tends to favor himself more than me. For instance, he gets to hold the remote at night and not only selects the channel, but the volume :omg:. Every time the phone rings, I tell him it's the ppl down the river, asking us to turn the TV down, they're trying to watch different channel. :biggrin1:.

LOL HarleyNana---my DH is only begining to use the computer very much---and when he types he does the old hunt and peck, and he "pecks" HARD!!! I tell him he even types loud, he ALWAYS has the TV blaring!!! Maybe all the testosterone is plugging up their ears.....man it was hard to say that and not something TOTALLT naughty!!!

That reminds me of my dad. He wouldn't admit until recently that he's losing his hearing. It was always, "I could hear you perfectly if you weren't mumbling!" We FINALLY got him to admit that he's just deaf as a post and that it isn't the people around him. What did it was when he went for his continuing education and couldn't hear the speaker, even though he sat in the front row and she had a microphone. Something about the tones of women's voices, high pitches, etc. Anyway, he BLARES the TV. He's got a set of those wireless earphones with a tranceiver that you hook up to the TV, so that he can turn up the volume as loud as he needs without turning up the volume on the actual TV, but we can't get him to use them.

Hey, good questions.

If you could change:

1) One physical (other than weight) thing about yourself, what would it be?

My nose. I'm part Cherokee and my nose has always bothered me.

2) One non-physical thing about yourself (mental, situation, etc.), what would it be?

My brain, to be alble to hear and process thinking correctly.

N/A- no spouse or partner

And how about the same two questions, only now applied to your partner/spouse?

Hmmm

1) At the moment I think I'd like to have my eyes fixed. I want lasik surgery BAD. Everything else is basically weight loss related (skin/sag)

2) Hoo boy... this is kind of all the same thing wrapped up together I think. I'd like to be a stronger person; more decisive, more able to say no and stand up for myself, and slower to jump up and offer to do everything for everyone.

1a) I wish he'd shave more. He shaves once, Maybe twice a month. He's got a great goatee, but... usually you can't tell. He's gettin' a bit of a belly, but it doesn't take much to get that to go away for him.

2a) He's recently taken up this habit of deciding I don't know what I am talking about. It's REALLY irritating, and I'd like it to go away. It's usually in the guise of trying to be helpful... but the tone is just horrible. Fortunately, attitudes like this from him are usually brought on by stress, and we just moved 1200 miles, so I'm pretty sure it's related.

This brings up another one for me. I naturally have double vision. My mom has it two, so I blame her. I can't get any eye doctor to help me fix it, though. I tell them about it, and they don't do anything. It's very frustrating. I can't wear any type of glasses or sunglasses because of it, because the frames screw me up even more. Well, I can wear them when I drive, but not when I'm out of the car. I keep walking into things.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
