Thank you for bringing this up. Although I'm not even at the pre-op stage yet due to NHS access requirements needing to be satisfied even prior to the offer of surgery, this is something that I need to factor into my own personal cost/benefit analysis that I'm compiling to aid my decision on surgery. Or at the very least need to have a coping strategy in place before it's needed.
