hmills653 365 Posted June 25, 2017 Normal to have some pain after surgery. Try Naprosyn and Tylenol suppositories (alternating) to get on top of pain . That helped take away my pain . Take them regularly for a couple of days , even if pain is just starting . I wish you all the best! Hang in there. Ask the surgeon about the naproxen, I was told no NSAIDS because they can cause ulcers. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
kasemcd 34 Posted June 26, 2017 She is feeling a little better. We both got some sleep. Our kids are being ornery, I think cause they have been cooped up in the house too much. We are taking it one day at a time. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile appI'm glad your wife is feeling better. I've been questioning MANY people on here because it seems like no two people have the same experience. Do you guys live near your surgeon (assuming your surgery is by the same one) ? Walter.Sobchak 978 Posted June 26, 2017 I'm glad your wife is feeling better. I've been questioning MANY people on here because it seems like no two people have the same experience. Do you guys live near your surgeon (assuming your surgery is by the same one) ? He has multiple offices and like 3 are near us. However, where does his surgery is one hour away. So, that was hard on my wife driving an hour back to our house after surgery. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
Newme17 3,444 Posted June 26, 2017 Everyday gets better...you'll see it with her as the days go by. Hang in there with her and don't be scared for when yours comes along. by then, you'll have seen her improvement and your state of mind will be much stronger to handle whatever you'll have to experience. Blessings to you both!!! 2 Sugar42 and Walter.Sobchak reacted to this

She can only drink Water, everything else tastes gross to her and makes her nauseous. She has had no Protein. I don't know what to do as she is supposed to be on Clear Liquids for a week. Joann454 1,329 Posted June 26, 2017 Do you have unflavored Protein Powder? You could mix it into Water or tea. I didn't get much Protein till day five. Is she taking her pain meds? 1 Dashofpixiedust8 reacted to this
CocoNina 210 Posted June 26, 2017 Congratulations to your wife!I have a high pain tolerance & only requested a week off from work. Little did I know the pain was extreme for me. I took the 6 weeks recommended off. I had buyers remorse right away but when time went on & I stepped on the scale, my buyers remorse started fading away. 4 months later & I'm down 60 lbs. It's totally normal to have buyers remorse. Everyone reacts to the pain of the sleeve differently. Good luck & healthy healing .Height: 5'0"Weight for WLS consultation: 216 lbs.Surgery date: 2/13/17Goal: -71 lbs for healthy BMI (about 145 lbs).Current weight: 153.8 lbsMy profile picture is not me. It's my "FITspiration" body. 1 Dashofpixiedust8 reacted to this

Sunnymommy 14 Posted June 28, 2017 They work by increasing stomach acid and they can still cause an ulcer. Lap band 2009 Sw 200/lw 161Sleeve revision 17 May/17Sw 217 CW 198.
Walter.Sobchak 978 Posted June 28, 2017 My wife is having horrible diarrhea. She is afraid she is getting dehydrated. Is this normal after sleeve? Did anyone else experience diarrhea? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
greensleeves 20 Posted June 28, 2017 Would call the surgeon's office to discuss with them. Hydration is most important early (protein can come later). sugar free popsicles were helpful for me early, along with Water.
