jenzds75 15 Posted June 24, 2017 I only stayed one night. Because they wanted to make sure my pain was controlled. Everything. Went great! Now I'm home, how to get comfortable!?!?!
James Marusek 5,244 Posted June 24, 2017 Congratulations on your surgery. After surgery it is hard to get comfortable, at least for awhile. This is especially true at bedtime. Some people resort to sleeping on recliners. But don't do what I did. I slept on my waterbed. It was so painful getting out of a waterbed after surgery. I found that putting a pillow between my legs helped when I went to bed. 1 Navigating the Wilderness reacted to this
Bigandscared 2 Posted June 24, 2017 Try not to sit in soft recliners, as it will be a pain to stand up. I had mine on June 21st and I didn't sleep at all on my hospital stay night, so I am catching up on some sleep now. Congratulations! 1 jenzds75 reacted to this
Navigating the Wilderness 824 Posted June 25, 2017 Agree 100% with @James Marusek, it is dam near impossible to sleep comfortably for the first few days. Luckily it gets better quick. Best of luck with everything and congrats on the surgery!! 2 B_Lush77 and jenzds75 reacted to this

Bigandscared 2 Posted June 27, 2017 I am doing better, definitely. Hurts when I cough or laugh or when I am standing up from my couch. Tomorrow is day 6 for me, and I am able to sip more liquids than when I had just come home. I cannot wait to be able to eat at least some tuna or ground beef lol! Glad that you are regaining your strength. 1 jenzds75 reacted to this
