I had sleeve on May 9, 2017. Have lost only 16 lbs in the 7 weeks - none for the past 2.5 weeks. WHY? I am so frustrated - drinking all my fluids, consuming all required Protein. Most days I am 100% on program. I have slipped a couple of times, but not often - no more than once a week. What am I doing wrong??

You are doing nothing wrong. I have gone 3 weeks without losing and then 8 lbs will fall off in 3 days. The body is readjusting itself and what you are experiencing probably happens to 80-90% of people. Also, starting at a lower weight (I know, you never thought 249 would be considered a low weight) the body seems to need more time to move everything around. Follow your plan and it WILL come off.

I'm also feeling frustrated with a stall so soon. (Sleeved May 17th). Appreciate everyone's feedback that stalls are typical and try to stay encouraged. You're not alone!

Stalls are a prevalent part of this journey. My periods in a stall post-op outnumber my periods in an active loss. That is just part of it. I know it is frustrating, but the sooner you can accept that, the better off you'll be. Just stick to your plan every single day, and you will lose weight.

I was sleeved June 1. Lost 19 pounds the first three weeks and now I'm in a stall. My doc said that since I started lower (241 surgery weight), my weight will come off more gradually. Of course the stall coincided with me moving from liquid to purée, and also I now feel hungry all the time. Like stomach growling actual hunger, which I did not expect. I'm probably only getting about 500 calories max in each day. I'm hoping this stall ends soon!! It was so fun to get on the scale and watch it go down every day....now I'm back to the "before" frustration of seeing the scale stay stagnant. I'm going to start walking more tomorrow.

I just want to say I feel your pain. So much came off the first 10 days. Now nothing. I'm not super worried, and I know it happens. But there are people at my bmi who lost a lot more, and I do think it is about figuring out how many calories and macro nutrients your personal body needs for maximum weight loss. You could be eating too much of something, or maybe you are actually consuming too little. Sometimes it really seems like a crap shoot.

It's been 6 weeks for me and I've only lost 22 lbs. Surgery weight was 205. I feel a little depressed about it but reading that I'm not the only one helps a lot. Thanks guys for sharing your stories.

You should not be depressed at all. Your weight loss is great. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and I have lost about 22 myself. I started at 208 so we are very close with our stats. I have dropped a whole size down and my clothes are feeling lose again already.

I bet you are losing inches. Are your clothes fitting loosely?

Actually yes. I have lost inches.
I think based on what I've been reading the heavier we are the most we tend to loose. Thanks for the encouragement ! Congrats on your surgery.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
