klrromano 0 Posted October 9, 2007 Ok, so I was banded on 8/15/07 and lost 23 lbs so far and stopped! Has this happened to anyone else so soon. I just had my first fill of 1.5 cc's and feel a little more restriction. I feel like I barely eat, especially compared to what I used to eat like. I guess I just want to wake up skinny, (JK) I know its a slow process but does anyone have some encouragement
socalgal3 4 Posted October 9, 2007 23 pounds in 2 months is very good loss in my opinion. You should average 1-2 pounds a week and that sounds right on track. Are you exercising? Are you taking measurements? Sometimes you stall for a few weeks and the loss begins again. Find other NSVs(non-scale victories) to keep you motivated. Some NSVs are getting off of certain medications, being able to wear a piece of clothing that hasn't fit in awhile, being able to climb stairs without stopping to catch your breath, etc. You get the idea. Sometimes it takes a few fills to get where you'd like to be restriction wise. Make sure you keep following all the banster rules, don't drink your calories and hopefully the weight loss will start up again. Hang in there and best of luck to you! TracyinKS 7 Posted October 9, 2007 I think you are doing great......... remember the weeks you don't lose pounds you are most likely losing inches....... get some old smaller clothes out and see how differently they fit.. I do this with Jeans........ they start out around my thighs and end when I can button and zip........ then I get out the next smaller size! (Im in my 14's now.........) time to get out my 12's (wearing 16's today and they are baggy in the butt and thighs.......) I LOVE MY BAND!
sweethot143 2 Posted October 9, 2007 the only way i lose is to do South Beach. I always lose about 8-10 lbs in the phase 1. then i fall off for a bit, don't gain any back but don't lose an ounce. so the only way for me to break a plateau is to cut out sugar and simple carbs for a few weeks. judyfay62 0 Posted October 10, 2007 I have not lost a # in 3 months. I exercise, drink, & diet the best I can. I don't feel like I have much restriction, but I have pain...in my stomach, neck & shoulder, that is unbareable. :>( I thought I was to loose weight because I would not be hungry, not because I couldn't eat. Confussed:>(
