Laura, Instead of caprisuns have you tried koolaid coolers? They have some that are low calorie (10 calories) and taste pretty much as good as the original ones.

Are they already packaged??

I like the sugar-free kool aid (with splenda), but I have to make it.. and 1. I don't take drinks 'on the run' very well unless it's packaged. 2. the sugar-free kool aid tastes bad to me after a day in the fridge, so I never drink it all.

If they're already packaged, I would definitely like to try them!!

I never was into the shortbread Cookies until I started buying 100 calorie packs.

I haven't tried the lorne doone, and whatever brand that is, that makes the cookies thin and crunchy (oreos, chips ahoy).. they're ok, they taste good, but I don't really like the texture.

Some other brand makes Shorties Shortbread cookie 100 calorie packs. These are WONDERFUL. They're hard for me to find though, so I've been out of them for a while. And Pepperidge Farm now makes 100 calorie packs.. trouble trouble! I bought their Chessmen cookie 100 calorie packs, and I still think the Shorties were 10x better!

Haha, I HAVE to get some of those TODAY.

My poor husband, I have made him stop at the store so many times in the past week on our way home from work.

We have 4 boxes of Caprisun left he bought last time he went by himself, 2 were 'my flavors' 2 were 'his flavors', but I've been trying to get him to drink mine so I can stop being tempted. His intentions were good when he bought them, but I hate having them all in my house.

I need koolaid jammers!!!

Those are very yummy.

The 100-calorie packs that you can get are good, too. The oreo ones are delish, especially if you are like me and like the chocolate cookie part better than the center.

lauren is that possible??? lol.... :Banane30:

I love the grasshopper ones....yummmy....

My favorite sweetsnack is low calorie pudding, and mix it with fat free coolwhip---yummy and very low fat. Hits the spot for me! :)

Mint is icky!

You know, my g'ma makes angel food cake and puts chocolate cool whip on top (I don't like normal cool whip). But the chocolate one tastes like chocolate mousse, its soo nummy.. And I was looking, the calories are only 25c tablespoon. 3 tbsp would be a decent little chocolate mousse.

Any of you cool whip eaters ever tried freezing it? Does cool whip freeze well?

I'm debatin gettin the chocolate and freezing it for chocolate ice cream.

My mom has a low calorie cool whip desert. A big container of fat free cool whip, a can of cherry pie filling that's been chopped up, and a small can of crushed pineapple. Mix it all together and freeze or eat as is. It's very good. I can't remember if she added chopped nuts or not.

Lauren-I've made that before. It's called Cherry salad or Pink Stuff. We also put a can of fat free eagle brand milk in it but that does add more cals and sugar. You can make it with or without nuts. It's great!

My friend makes a pie with crystal light and cool whip. It's great. I'll have to get the recipe.

I luvre cherry pie filling, thats one of those things I would eat right out of the jar pre-band days..

Just to seeeee.. I looked, and the calories are outrageous in it.

Does she use some special diety pie filling?

She uses lite pie filling. The serving sizes are pretty small, too, but they'd be perfect for bandster Snacks.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
