Doingthis4myself 2 Posted June 21, 2017 Tomorrow I finish up my psych eval. After that I schedule to see the surgeon to schedule the surgery. Nervous as I did not plan on having surgery again. I have the band which was placed in 2010. Prolapsed about 2 years ago and nothing but trouble since. Tired of not being able to eat without pain and vomiting. At the same time nervous about another surgery. Any advise would be welcome. Risks? I hear many people talk of fatigue. I am a single mother and need to work, the fatigue has me worried. Although i am always tired now with little energy and poor sleeping patterns. Would love input on this.
tabula 54 Posted June 21, 2017 I haven't noticed the fatigue outside of the first week with clear liquids, I do notice that I go to bed a lot earlier, probably about an hour earlier. I haven't heard many people complain about the lack of energy. I think the added energy from eating healthy and losing LBS offsets the loss from calorie restriction, just a guess. It didn't work well for me either, so I had it removed in February, and just got the sleeve done on Tuesday. I'm seven days post op. I was told the fatigue comes from the lack of Protein in the diet, also have to continue taking a Multivitamin ( gummies). Once I increased my protein intake the fatigue was down to a minimum. It's all about your body getting readjusted. The first few days after the sleeve, will be challenging, but you will get through it. Good luck with everything.
