imightknow 39 Posted June 20, 2017 I was added to a group on Facebook for a surgeon in Mexico and I saw some post that the surgeon has them take Magnesium Citrate a few days before surgery. Has anyone that didn't go to Mexico, do the same thing? My doctor told me that I need to "stay on top of it" because if we are cleared out, it makes it easier on us after surgery. Less gas and pain. But she didn't really give any suggestions or anything. If you did have to take something, what do you recommend and what was post op like for you? Please do not say "every doctor is different, ask your surgeon." Ugh. I'm asking for everyone's experience. I swear I get dumb responses like that all the time, and I know that. The whole point of this forum, is for support and to learn from others. 1 GassyGurl reacted to this
GassyGurl 428 Posted June 20, 2017 My local clinic includes this as part of their pre op routine. 1 bottle at like noon, another a few hours later. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal mobile app
