I just went to my first appointment for the gastric bypass surgery dietary appointment. There's definitely some things I need to work on before I am ready for surgery from what the dietician explained

Long story short, I decided about 16 months ago to do it. Went to a seminar, signed up and found out that I have to wait until I've had my insurance policy for 2 years before they will cover it. The kicker is that I have had this insurance for about 6 years, but when I made a move from full to part time, my husband elected to not have coverage for 19 days and I was not aware of it, so they considered it a new policy because we weren't covered for 19 days. I am eligible in January, so I will be starting the process soon.

Whaaaaaaaat? Omg you just scared me, cuz I went to a seminar and my insurance was not available for this hospital so they asked me to change it .. and so I did, but this hospital said they are affiliated with this new insurance, I guess I'll know this 14 when I see my surgeon. Best of luck to both!

Don't get scared. I think it was just my insurance plan's way of hoping I would give up. They are suckers because I've waiting and not changed my mind. I only have 6 more months to go!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
