So I am 6 days post-op today. Surgery was done on 6/14. Im a Realtor, so I started working from home Sunday, 6/18. I am doing and feeling well overall but has anyone experienced mood swings after surgery? Like 1 minute I'm calm and the next, if someone says something that I don't agree with, I'll snap and say something to them. Then 5 minutes later I feel sorry for getting angry with them.

I am also diagnosed with ADHD and not sure if my Adderall dosage needs to come down because my stomach is now smaller. Maybe that's it, I don't know.

Let me know if any of you have experienced this. I would greatly appreciate it! :)

I was an emotional mess the first week or so after surgery. My poor husband! I can't speak to the ADHD meds, but as far as feeling emotional goes, that will get better.

I feel like I've been on a major mood swing since the surgery. lol! Yes, it's totally normal IMO.

Just be glad your body will be flooded with Testosterone and not Estrogen like us lucky ladies get. You guys get to lose weight quickly and Testosterone helps you build muscle quickly and you get super focused on being jacked. Us? We get to cry and get irrational crushes. lol!!

But yes, totally natural. I mean, it feels completely insane but it's apparently totally natural.

Definitely looking forward to the testosterone boost! I'm 27, so there should be a lot! [emoji23]

I also had my sleeve on the 14th, well done for getting back to work so soon. I've experienced a few little mood swings I've been told it normal to be sort and easily frustrated to start with mainly because your body is trying to function as normal but on a quarter or less of the calories.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
