melty29 33 Posted June 18, 2017 I realize just being a week out from surgery my energy levels are going to be low. However, I want to sleep constantly. I am supposed to return to work tomorrow but that may be a challenge. How long does this last? Thank you. beezy8 41 Posted June 21, 2017 You've just had major surgery. You are on Clear Liquids, maybe 2 ounces at a time, right? Your body is still recovering. It needs to rest to heal. Take more time off if you can. Your body may force you to take more time if you try to push it. 1 melty29 reacted to this

Danny Paul 761 Posted September 12, 2017 I'm ok when I stay home. When I go out just to shop I'm exhausted. I attribute this to the trauma of surgery and only drinking liquids. I'm hoping to get more energy when I start eating more Proteins in the puree phase. 1 dforston reacted to this
PrayingForWeightLoss 337 Posted September 12, 2017 If your body is not ready, consider taking some days off. Our bodies adjust differently to the very low calorie diet we are on for the first few weeks. Listen to your body and do what is best for you.
GassyGurl 428 Posted September 12, 2017 My nurse told me that it takes awhile for our bodies to learn to burn our fat for fuel. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal mobile app
SippinAintEasy 78 Posted September 12, 2017 Day 11 I felt like a new person. Until then, I was exhausted doing anything but walking to the bathroom. I'd break out in cold sweats just taking a shower. Hang in there! Keep hydrated!!
