Hi all, I'm new and about to get sleeve next week! Yay! I'm pretty active, can you tell me how long it took to get back into you workouts full strength after sleeve? Also, did you ever get your full strength back? I'm worried about my energy levels with so little calories. Tia!

Hi there its 4-6 weeks and about 6-8 weeks before the fatigue stops.

I started working out at week 3 but stopped and started walking again about week 6. I had stopped losing weight but it was because my body was still trying to heal and was confused as to what was happening. The first couple weeks you get such little calories and then working out burns those plus more and it makes your body hold on to all the fat because it thinks it's starving. When I started walking and worked on my intake goals my weight has started to drop again. I just started working out about a week or so ago and my weight is continuing to drop. It might also be different for you but they say 6-8 weeks out for working out.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
