hmills653 365 Posted June 16, 2017 I'm only 2 weeks post op, so I don't expect to be back to normal yet. I just feel like these couple weeks habe been so long. My stomach always feels something, achy, gassy, nausea, not right. I'm just curious when did your stomach feel normal again. Joann454 1,329 Posted June 16, 2017 My stomach felt good at two weeks post op. Have you tried switching Protein Shakes? I can't tolerate Premier Protein shakes but do well with Unjury brand. Are you taking Prilosec? I've had to take tums or gas x a couple of times and they both helped. Now at three weeks out I feel nearly normal, hopefully you will too. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
hmills653 365 Posted June 16, 2017 Thanks. I'm on Omeprazole. I've been taking the Premier Protein because they are so high in Protein and I feel like I can't get that much down yet. Maybe I should use the gas x more frequently and especially before bed. I hadn't thought of changing the shakes. Navigating the Wilderness 824 Posted June 16, 2017 I vote for Unjury as well. Not as tasty as Premier Protein but less calories and sugar. My stomach started feeling better once I was allowed dense Protein. 1 hmills653 reacted to this
stevem 2 Posted June 18, 2017 It really wasn't until week 3 I was feeling like myself. I did go back to work that week. As soon as you get back to your normal routine hopefully you'll feel better. 1 hmills653 reacted to this
Hoolahoopster 10 Posted June 24, 2017 Sleeved May 24. I felt normal again right at the one month mark when I was allowed to eat chicken, veggies, and fruit (very limited). I'm still taking prilosec twice a day and gas X. 1 hmills653 reacted to this
XmeghannstarX 43 Posted June 25, 2017 I was sleeved 6/13 so it's been about 12 days ago for me. I totally understand your pain and I ask myself that as well. When will I feel "normal" I think for me it's the ability to eat most "normal foods" and also I would agree the chest pressure/ cramps that sometimes are occurring for me going away would be a good help as well! 1 hmills653 reacted to this
