Ipeek90 64 Posted June 16, 2017 EAT!!! Do not skip meals, follow your post-op plan. My surgery was the 30th, I too hit a stall. Just keep up your activity and eat like you're supposed to. You can up your activity, but everyone hits a stall, just follow the plan and it will round out and you will lose again.Sent from my Nexus 6 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 meaghan_rny reacted to this
MrsVampire 4 Posted June 16, 2017 Is it normal to gain weight this fast?? I can't work out only walking and that's so frustrating my doctor told me to only walk I'm crying in here I don't think the surgery worked fine 😭😭

I can't work out only walking and that's so frustrating my doctor told me to only walk I'm crying in here I don't think the surgery worked fine [emoji24][emoji24]I don't know if it's normal, and I don't necessarily subscribe to the "starvation mode" unless it's a large loss of calories, which we've under gone. So perhaps it is "starvation" related. I can tell you that you need to eat, not for weight loss reasons, but for overall health. You could be holding Water causing the 2lbs, and I would say that's likely it. How is your Fluid intake? If you've not seen that, you should check it out! It's a lot of fun and is all cardio with some slightly weighted drum sticks(maybe a pound or 2 each).Sent from my Nexus 6 using BariatricPal mobile app

Calling them in the morning and expressing your concerns sounds like a solid plan for now. I would follow the meal plan and the doctors orders, post back when you hear from them, I am interested in what they think the reason for the weight gain is.Hopefully they will allow you to increase activity [emoji1] Sent from my Nexus 6 using BariatricPal mobile app
jhope71 105 Posted June 16, 2017 Most folks hit a stall around the third week after surgery, so you're right on schedule. Also, us women can "gain" Water weight easily at certain times. Two pounds isn't a huge amount, and mine has fluctuated that much several times in the two months since surgery. Hang in there, keep drinking, walk walk walk and you'll do fine!
