I hope you're feeling at least a little better now.
My hubs had a similar experience with the nausea after surgery. And his first night home he wondered if he'd made the best decision. By his second night home, he was feeling much better.
Two months out, his only regret is not doing it sooner.
Sending you prayers and wishes for comfort and fast healing!

That's good to know TFS, I'm being sleeved on the 21st, getting excited, not second guessing myself at all!

I can't wait for it to go away. I feel good physically, no pain at all. I am a little light headed and afraid of getting nauseaus, so I am not drinking as much as I shpuld be, although, the Crystal light is DEFINITELY going down easier than Water. Did u feel light headed in the first few days?

I felt a bit light headed but I assumed it was the meds. Just don't let yourself dehydrate. It definite gets better! Hope today was better.

I'm trying to drink 2 ozs every 10 min or so, I hope it helps. This is aweful.

Staying hydrated will definitely help with the feeling of light headedness. Plus it helps flush the anesthesia from your system. It can takes a while to get that stuff out of your body. Keep up the great work!

Just be good to yourself. Drink, rest, walk when you feel less dizzy. Maybe try drinking some Water with electrolytes in it too.

That's great!! Good job! Are you feeling a bit better?

I FEEL fine. It's just drinking that causes me a problem. Nothing tastes right, I wonder if its still from the anesthesia or the tube. I'm now drinking Powerade 0, thats better....so far. I also had almost a whole greek yogurt. I hope each day I can get more in.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
