I too am a mother and understand that sometimes we need relaxation and alcohol can really hit the spot. I however have resorted to meditation I find that learning to relax takes away my need for alcohol. Also it's a really good thing to do with your child as they get older. Teaching a child how to relax can help if they develop sleep issues or anxiety.

I know of somebody who has had a gastric sleeve and finds out how very easy to slip down his throat and has probably replaced one issue with another. It's always worth just keeping a check on these things I can slip very quickly.
What you're suggesting in terms of drinking occasionally should not be a problem. In fact a delight. Enjoy and cheers.

I am getting married about 7 weeks post op surgery is July 19 and wedding is September 9 I am not a big drinker but my family is big on drinking and celebrating they like to party! I asked my doctor about having a drink or two at my wedding and he said I should be fine! This was definitely a worry for me!!

I have found a few I really like as far a wine but haven't tried any hard liquor yet...
