Banded_Beauty 71 Posted June 14, 2017 Wednesday I had my lapband filled back up. I recently had Fluid removed from being to tight. So Wednesday I got 2.4cc back which is a total of 5cc. I'm eating and drinking fine. No issues at all. But Saturday I woke up with this pain right under my left rib cage. Dull pain but gets pretty intense sometimes. Then it goes to my shoulder as well. But my complaint is under my rib. It's off and on but doesn't go away. I thought maybe it's because I don't go to the bathroom regularly maybe once a week. But I've went and the pain has not went away completely. I've looked up symptoms on google and well I don't want to worry about all the horror stories I see. I thought maybe a stomach ulcer as the pain comes and goes but I don't feel like I have enough symptoms to say it's that. I fear it is my band but I'm eating and drinking just fine. Any ideas or share the same experiences with lapband?

Any ideas or share the same experiences with lapband? The pain you are experiencing is colic. It starts from underneath rib and radiates to left shoulder. A simple remedy for this is peppermint tea. Berry78 4,261 Posted June 25, 2017 Once a week isn't much bathroom time. Try to get things happening more frequently. If nothing seems to help, be sure to run it by your doc. 1 Banded_Beauty reacted to this
Banded_Beauty 71 Posted June 26, 2017 I do agree it's not much time. Thankfully the pain has gone away. I hope it stays that way.
sunnysidega 177 Posted July 3, 2017 I've been banded over 14 years and still it happens on occasion. Sometimes it feels like there's actually a knot or kink when I bend over a certain way. It goes away. Then sometimes the pain (not severe) does radiate up into my left shoulder. You may be on to something about not going to the bathroom regularly. That's something that I have dealt with so I take Dulcolax to help with that. And I drink a ton of water! If in doubt or really worries you be sure and check with your band doc. 1 linseywilson19@gmail.com reacted to this
