When I had to go on clear liquids for a colonoscopy, SF gummies were allowed because your body ends up treating them like they are liquid. It just helped me get through the period of being unable to chew. I'm sorry your doc requires 2 weeks pre-liquid. I'm only one day but don't get to full solids for 6 weeks after surgery. If your doc is requiring pre-liquids it's to make sure he can visualize behind your liver. Oh wow, the sugar free gummy bears sounds like a great idea. Great tip. Meguone 72 Posted June 20, 2017 I have been on Optifast before when I lost the weight before 2014 and I liked it. It does suck to not be able to physically eat anything. That's one thing my doctor has already talked to me about is that "I'll have to make a life change with food doing this". And I'm like, yeah, I've already done that so, shouldn't be a problem. Glad your folks are paying for it, that's great!!! Just hang in there. I'd love to be at that level right now to JUST do the shakes. It always worries me though that they know what our BMI is and that we have this extra weight, then they want you to loose for two weeks, and I know why, but then you are down like 20 pounds and I keep having in the back of my mind, they will say, "well, you are down 20, and your BMI is down, so you don't get surgery." YIKES. 1 blakescat reacted to this
