AJCee 1 Posted June 13, 2017 Hi I am due to have my surgery next week in Perth and I am worried I haven't lost much yet! Just 3kgs. Is it possible surgery could be cancelled if I don't reach the suggested 5-10kgs loss? I've been on a 2 liquid meal and 1 VLC meal diet. Thank you 1 joe_bloggs reacted to this
ShinyLady 37 Posted June 14, 2017 I wouldn't think so. The pre-op diet is mainly for liver shrinking purposes for ease of access to the op site.As long as you are sticking to the diet that shrinking should happen. Also you say next week... so there's a good chance you will lose more by then.I lost 4.8 (BMI 41) on the 2 week pre-op diet. My Dr was pleased with that. arcwls 27 Posted July 31, 2017 I was worried about this too. Has anyone done the diet for longer than one month? I have two months until mine, and was thinking I should give the pre-op diet a go earlier to get use to it, or maybe even lose more? Anyone tried this approach?Perth: 31/10/2017HW: 98/99kgGW: 60-65kgH: 171cm
