candy, just a note to let you know that I am praying for you and know that God is in control of you life right now. I'm proud of you for making the changes in your own life right now. it's so hard as a wife and mom to put ourselves first. But that's what we did by getting banded. (by the way, we were banded a day apart - I was 12/3/07). Please know that with the stresses going on in your life would have probably made the old you go straight for the food but because of the band you are losing weight instead of gaining. focus on the good in your life and be proud of your accomplishments!!! and remember - You can do all things through Christ who Strenghtens you!

In Christ,

Eileen

I belive God has a plan for all of us and as we take this walk to good health the devil will put alot of things in our paths to take our mines off of God and put it on our problems. God bless all of you on your road to good health.

Hello all of you,

I need your prayers!! I called my doctor's office to find out the status of my surgery. The nurse was with a patient and couldn't take my call. She hasn't called me back and I'm so nervous about it. I usually don't get this way but this is soooo important.

Hi Eileen, THANK you so much for your prayers.

And, welcome to Ladyroz. will be praying for you, jaunderwood.

I also have an urgent prayer request. A lady from my church (who is a very sweet and very giving person) just found out two days ago that she has the worst kind of leukemia. She was admitted into the hospital yesterday to start chemo. Her name is Patti Hinton. PLEASE be praying for her. Thank you all for all your love and care.

Ladies, opps and Gentlemen, Do any of you read "Our Daily Bread"? You can read it online. Google "Our Daily Bread" and go under devotionals. They are great and you can read all the previous months.

Thank You

DEARGOD:

I want to thank You for what you have already done. I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking you right now. I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I am thanking you right now. I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me; I am thanking you right now.. I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears ; I am thanking you right now. I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves; I am going to thank you right now. I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet; I am going to thank you right now. I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am going to thank you right now. I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief; I am thanking you right now. I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed;

I am thanking you right now. I am thanking you because I am alive. I am thanking you because I made it through the day's difficulties. I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.

I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.

I'm thanking you because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.

God is just so good, and he's good all the time. Send this message to 8 friends, not to the friend who sent it to you and continue to THANK HIM.

Good morning Everyone. God bless you.

Hello all,

Icalled my doctor's office for the 3rd time this week. She was in a meeting but sent me word that she hasn't forgotten about me and she's still working on it!! I hope I get to talk to her soon.

I'm more at peace today and I know it will all work out. I continue to seek your prayers. I am praying for all those that have asked.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
