Low vitamin d, please help!

I got my bloodwork back. Vitamin D level 26.9 .

Soooo will my surgery be post poned?!?!

they'll probably put you on prescription Vitamin D for a few weeks. I think I was on it for 4 weeks, then I switched to an over the counter one. The prescription one brings it up pretty fast.

That seems unusual to postpone a surgery because of a Vitamin deficiency. Hmmmm.... My vitamin D has been in the the teens and I started to take 10,000 IU's per week and it seems to be coming up. Sorry you have to wait for surgery - that is frustrating!!!

My Vitamin D level was 10 before surgery and they didn't postpone it. Just increased the vitamin D supplement I was already going to start post-op.
