lizpuller 6 Posted June 12, 2017 Walking any distance causes rubbery legs and slightly nauseous. Doing last day of full liquids today......80 g Protein, 7 g carbs, plenty fluids. Any ideas?
Joann454 1,329 Posted June 12, 2017 I am the same way! How many calories are you getting? I didn't get nauseous but rubbery legs and complete fatigue. I'm trying to get my calories up to 800 before I do much. I just don't have the energy.
blizair09 3,250 Posted June 12, 2017 It will get better as you move on from liquids and introduce more foods. That being said, fatigue was a serious issue for me for a solid 8 weeks post-op. I took a 6 week medical leave from work. I took a get-under-the-covers nap every afternoon of those 6 weeks, and when I did go back, I struggled for another 2 weeks in the afternoons. After those 2 months, it got better and better. Now, I have tons of energy. 2 ProudGrammy and dandelion247 reacted to this
MSinger 348 Posted June 12, 2017 (edited) I'm 3 weeks post-op now and definitely still dealing with fatigue. The first two weeks I could barely walk a quarter of a block and had to turn back home because I was getting dizzy. It's been gradually getting better, but slowly. I'm walking 1-1.5miles a day now. Fatigue is very common and normal, especially with you being 2 weeks out. It's important to get activity, but don't push yourself too hard. This isn't a race, you're healing, and we're eating a low amount of calories. Hang in there, it's gonna take some time.
