SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE

Recommended Posts

Cw: 154.6

Forgot to post. Finally back down. But i feel like i wont make my challenge goal. I think i might change it to 152lbs. 4lbs seems like a lot to try to lose in a week. Or does it? 🤔

CW 181

so it looks like my week long camping trip did not break my stall as of yet. That's ok though because I am still losing inches and I feel great. I had so much energy and was able to keep up with the kids!!

@Torriluv87 I have updated your goal!

@Apple1 That is the important part! you can't focus on the number on the scale!

@Mandi4417 you are sooo close to ONEDERLAND!! I'll be hoping for you next week!

@dreamingsmall You don't need to have surgery already to join but there is only one weigh in left in the challenge. I will be doing another one though shortly after so you are welcome to join then!!

Thanks@Dashofpixiedust8! I haven't been eating the best. Still sticking to Protein first and stuff but haven't been eating much or getting much fluids in. I need a real kick in the pants. Im so close to my nutritionists goal of 150. And less than 20lbs from my goal of 135. I feel like i could have been there if i hadn't have been slacking. Part of me has real FOMO over this past year and how poorly I've done diet wise. I feel like i did the bare minimum. But im taking it all in stride. Trying to get to 100lbs lost from surgery before my 1 year post op! [emoji16][emoji3]

@Torriluv87I can relate so much. I keep kicking myself that if I never went off plan I would be so much closer to goal now, maybe even at goal! I can't change what I've done just what I do in the future. You are so close to your nutritionist's goal! I have ALWAYS since the beginning had trouble getting in enough Fluid. It's something I'm continuously trying to work on...

Last weigh in.

8/11/17- 176

I didn't meet my goal, but I am happy with this number. My 2.5 week stall had me thinking I wouldn't see the 170's so I am just thrilled to see the scale moving down again. This is the most I have lost in a week since the first month post-op.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
