Delete my account 22 Posted June 7, 2017 Currently still in the hospital and losing my mind. I had surgery Monday 6/5/17 and will hopefully be leaving today, but I'm not mad about not eating or anything like that I just find myself pissed off in the hospital and at the same time the "buyers remorse" is getting to me probably more because I want to be out of here. When does it get better? When you get home? 1 mem1 reacted to this
Joann454 1,329 Posted June 7, 2017 I got out of the hospital less than 24 hrs after surgery and was more than ready. My first night home was rough but then it got easier every day. Buyers remorse is common. It's mostly up to you. You might have to do some mental work trying to remember why you did this and know that it's temporary. Once you feel better it's a lot easier to have that attitude. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and have no regrets. 2 orly and blev reacted to this
Maxthecat 37 Posted June 8, 2017 About a week later I got really depressed and had serious regrets. That went away by two weeks out. There's still some times that I am frustrated with a twinge of regret but overall I feel a lot better. I'm also five weeks it and down 25lbs. 1 mem1 reacted to this
Delete my account 22 Posted June 8, 2017 Thank you for your responses. I was released from the hospital yesterday which was ahead of schedule for my program that usually requires 4 days including surgery day. It felt really nice to come home since the hospital felt like a prison to me. This morning though I had a little break down as I didn't sleep well not because I was in pain since I'm not in pain I haven't taken anything for pain since the day after surgery, but I was having to have bowel movements every little while which was unexpected and strange. I'm not sure why or what that was about. I'm looking forward to it getting better and better because I am really second guessing myself an my choice since obviously it would be easier to eat and drink like normal like before the surgery. One day at a time I gues 1 orly reacted to this
