So 1 week post op, I am on full liquids yet I can have cream of wheat....

How is cream of what allowed but not applesauce or other baby food type things? Kinda wondering why the liquid and pureed phases aren't combined .

all plans are different. I never had a liquid phase - I was eating puree before I left the hospital. So anyway, that would be a question for your surgeon, since that was his/her idea...

Although liquid and purée weren't combined for me, purée and soft were.

My surgeon has all 3 stages, liquid, puree and soft. I had to google to find the difference between puree and soft, if i understand correctly puree (baby food consistency) can be swallowed without the mechanics of moving your mouth and soft meaning you should be able to use your tongue and mouth cavity to break the food down without having to physically chew? I know the original post was liquid and puree, but thought this might be helpful as well.

Those with more experience please feel free to correct me if my observation is incorrect.
