NewChiGirl 84 Posted June 7, 2017 Yesterday was my 2 week anniversary. From the day I left hospital until now 14lbs, all of that was in the first 8or 9 days. Starting purees today and have my post-op appt with doctor. I'm going to contact my dietician for some guidance on how often I should be eating. Had some soft boiled egg with mustard this morning and it was amazing! I could only eat about 1/2. I'm already so sick of shakesSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Crystaltothefuture reacted to this

Joann454 1,329 Posted June 8, 2017 Monday was my two week. As of today I've lost 7 lbs post op and 22 since pre op diet. I have zero pain and moved on to purée. Tolerating foods, Water, Protein, and Vitamins well. I feel very fortunate. 3 kejamess, Misha42000 and Apple1 reacted to this

Karcares 34 Posted June 8, 2017 Monday was my 2 week post op anniversary and I was down 9 pounds since day of surgery. Still feeling very weak and not able to walk much. I talked to the nutritionist today she said she thinks I'm not getting enough calories- she said to go for about 700. I've been averaging 485 or so but getting all my Protein. I'm so tired of not being strong enough to do anything but go to the grocery store.

Let me know if upping you calories helps. It's very frustrating.
NewChiGirl 84 Posted June 8, 2017 Amazing success! Let us know what your dietician recommends if you can and don't mind!I met with my surgeon today. He is very satisfied with the results. I did not meet with the dietician today, (have an appt on 6/20) but his post-op nurse recommended purees like cottage cheese, eggs, chicken blended up with some low fat mayo or mustard to make it easier to go down. Since I won't be able to get in all the Protein from food yet they recommended staying on Protein Shakes in between meals. They said to exercise as much as I can tolerate. Surgeon did recommend not to force food, if I am having a hard time with a specific food he said to pull back and go to full liquids. He doesn't think forcing food and being in pain is worth it. Sometimes we just need more time to progress to the next stage. Hope that helps!! VSG:5/23/17HW: 315Pre-op: 294SW: 283CW:268.7GW:
