dgarcia27 5 Posted June 6, 2017 Hi guys, I was sleeved May 18th and have lost a total of 21 pounds since surgery. Now i have noticed it slow down a lot. Does it pick back up? I get negative thoughts in my head like "ok this is all i'm gnna lose" but try to tell myself otherwise. Any opinions/personal experiences?
blizair09 3,250 Posted June 6, 2017 You have just gotten started. You're not going to lose all of your weight in a few months. You should be making lifestyle changes that you plan on keeping to for the rest of your life. If you stick to your plan, meet your Protein and Water goals, and get up and exercise, you will lose weight. But it all won't come off tomorrow, or this month, or maybe even this year. Google "three week stall." That is your issue right now. 1 tropical69 reacted to this
Joann454 1,329 Posted June 6, 2017 I lost 6 lbs two weeks after surgery but I had lost 15 lbs the two weeks before surgery. I was dumbfounded that it was "only 6 lbs" after two weeks of 500 calories a day. Then I thought I could already be in my 3 week stall. I hate the scale and refuse to let it dictate my emotions for the day (at least I'm going to try very hard!)In two weeks I'll measure myself and see what's happened there. If nothing else I've lost weight in my boobs. ☹️ 1 klingie84 reacted to this
thisisthenewme 358 Posted June 6, 2017 Relax, you're not even a month into this. Just follow your plan. 1 blizair09 reacted to this
shan0520 241 Posted June 6, 2017 My doctor told me "you didn't gain all in a month, you won't lose it all in a month." You got this! Don't let the scale rule your day Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app
