gg2016 46 Posted June 4, 2017 Did anyone else experience lower back AFTER losing a lot of weight?I have lost over 80 lbs and I did not have back issues when I was heavier. Now it's excruciating while in bed and when I wake up. It's sore all day and when I walk or stretch it will spasm randomly. If I take a step off the curb or step funny it will feel like something pinched and like my leg is going to give out.Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
GBLady41 393 Posted June 5, 2017 I have heard that when someone loses a lot of weight, the spine readjusts to the weight loss, and can cause pinched nerves and pain while it's getting used to it. Also, people can start to have trouble with their weight bearing joints (knees, hips, ankles)You may want to check with your doctor. Maybe a realignment can help with the low back pain and pinched nerves. 1 niseys4 reacted to this
painter88 101 Posted June 5, 2017 It has to do with your readjusted posture. Are you exercising?Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Nynjesq 24 Posted June 9, 2017 I had horrible back pain 3 weeks after surgery. My doc gave me some muscle relaxers which helped. I'm completely pain free now at 5 weeks out.
