TippyToesX 30 Posted June 4, 2017 Hi guys and gals!! I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if this isn't posted in the correct area. A little about me;I'm 28 years old. I started this journey back in October of 2016 - I went to my first information session and then wasted 3 months doing research and really thinking about it and finally got the ball rolling in December of that year. I have now been approved by insurance (YAY!!) and am scheduled to have gastric bypass on July 5th (Double yay!!) I have a 2 week pre-op diet, I have met with my nutritionist and think I have everything I need to begin.I have my final pre-op appointment scheduled with my surgeon on June 22nd. I have a very small list of questions that I'll be asking my surgeon during our last visit before the surgery but...What questions would you recommend? What questions did you ask? What do you wish you would have asked/ known before the surgery? Thank you in advance. ️
TippyToesX 30 Posted June 4, 2017 The questions I have so far:- Will I have a drain tube?- Will I have a private room after surgery?- Will I have a catheter?- How long will I be in the hospital (as long as there are no complications)?- Pain meds? Nausea meds? - How long should I be out of work? - Post-Op Vitamins? - My goal weight... Is 140 lbs too low for me?
