Are you using a low-fat/light mayo? Full-fat versions can upset the stomach and cause the symptoms you're talking about. If so, try using less. If you currently put in a teaspoon to help those things go down, cut it to half a teaspoon and be aware of how much total you're consuming in a day. Same goes for any oils or butter you may be using to make your eggs.

eggs didn't agree with me till about month four and tuna is also hard on a new stomach. Put those things aside and try again after a few more weeks.

I don't agree with the low-fat/light being better either. Where do you get that info from? They are filled with lots of artificial stuff that can cause more issues than the real stuff

My doctor told me to ONLY eat light or low fat mayo from here on out once I was able to add it back into my diet.
As far as eggs go, how they are prepared will affect how your pouch reacts to it. Scrambling them will just add air to them which will cause you pain while eating them. When I make them I do over easy or hard boiled and haven't had issues yet!!

So much contradictory info. My NUT said low fat too but I'm not sure I will do that. It's amazing how different all the Drs are.

I could t eat any solids for 8 weeks. 2 weeks clear, 2 weeks purée, 2 weeks soft and then I could start introducing solids! No problems!

i received info from NUT to use light/lowfat mayo. Everybody gets different info and have their own opinion. Did you not get told to follow a high Protein low fat diet?

No. And I've lost 135lbs and maintained the loss for three years now. My plan was low carb high protein. The less processed the better. Real mayo has lower carbs and chemicals. When they remove the fat they add simple carbs (sugar) to replace it so full fat mayo is a better choice on my plan.

But here's a suggestion, try plain Greek yogurt instead of either. I love Fage and you can use the 0% fat if that's what works on your plan. Get in some protein that way!

Back to the eggs... I tried them every possible way and they were the one of last things that kept bothering my stomach.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
