Isopure unflavored vs. others

Recommended Posts

So I purchased Isopure unflavored to help with getting my Protein in after surgery. I haven't had surgery yet, and I am hesitant on opening it till I hear what others think and maybe if there is something better out there that is unflavored. I wanted to mix it in Jello and Soup and whatever else I can come up with.

If anyone has any feedback on the isopure or any suggestions that would be great. Thanks

I think most of the unflavored Protein Shakes are about the same in regards to taste if they use whey. I tried Unjury unflavored and it was pretty tough to get down.

Sleeved May 24. I tried an unflavored clear Protein isolate and I couldn't take it.. The last couple of days Ive been drinking ISO100 blue raspberry and I added some sf crystal light to take the edge off over ice is very delish. I still have home made broth everyday, it don't mix anything in it.

I was on the hunt for the perfect unflavoured Protein Powder. I've tried a few. Usually "unflavoured" means that they don't have flavour added. So these hemp or pea based powders still have a nutty or musty flavour (Manitoba Harvest or Sunwarrior for example) -- not terrible but definitely not flavourless.

I love the Isopure one. Works great in Soups. Doesn't really change their flavour as far as I can tell. (I haven't tried it in plain Water, and I'm sure it's not completely flavourless, but that's not why I bought it.) Haven't found anything better.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
