Any one ordered through Bariatric Pal before?

Recommended Posts

I am starting to buy my supplements and I was curious if anyone bought their stuff exclusively through Bariatric Pal Store and if they have tried GENEPRO Medical Grade Unflavored 30g Protein Powder - 2nd Generation. I am kinda overwhelmed as to what to purchase- also if any women can offer insight to the soft chews (as far as good flavor) I was going to buy the three pack- but then put it back and just stuck with berry. Any information is welcome! TIA! :D

I bought
Centrum chewable vitamins for adults (2x per day)
Wellness calcium citrate liquid (2x per day)
Vitamin B12 dots (sublingual 2x per day)
I have the sleeve so I'm not sure what your requirements are. I've had no problems taking these daily. I can't take Iron and am post menopause so no extra for me.
I was told no gummies for Vitamins.

I've ordered several things through the Bariatric Pal Store - never had a problem. I think it's mostly been Protein powders and calcium citrate chews. I pick up a lot of generic Vitamins at Walgreens or CVS.

I got mine off of Amazon, but I am returning it because my nutritionist said that it isn't a good one for the DS.

I have the bariatric pal oatmeal (maple and brown sugar flavor) and although it is very thick it has good taste and it's just the right amount. Plus I love that it has Protein in it!! I ordered mine from Amazon though!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
