sway 2 Posted May 31, 2017 I had surgery on 3/20 and was doing really well - good food choices, gym, exercise, Water intake - then about two weeks ago, my mother passed away. Aside from the obvious emotional issues, I had to travel across the country unexpectedly and spend 12 days without my own kitchen, food options, etc.. I didn't track anything during that time, but I know there were days when I went over 1000 calories and I definitely ate some carbs when I saw them. I am now back at home, trying to get back on track. It's hard. I haven't been back to the gym yet. I will be going to see my therapist and back to my WLS support group next week, but could use some advice/motivation/success stories between now and then. Here's hoping I get up early for the gym before work tomorrow. 1 facebro29 reacted to this
facebro29 272 Posted May 31, 2017 I'm so so sorry about the loss of your mother. HugsI understand how you feel as I was there. I went on holiday on and off for 3 months and only in May I was able to get back on track. I gave myself mini-goals in order to get back on track. Mini-goal 1 drink my Water everyday. mini-goal two cut out the sugars and carbs. mini-goal 3 go to the gym at least 4 times a week 1.5hrs each session. Mini-goal 4 get my Protein in etc.I can only imagine in your situation it may be harder but try to keep your focus on the goal. Lots of hugs for you.
