Surgery Consultation Questions

I have surgery consultation with the surgeon tomorrow...what are some things I should talk about or ask?

I had my consult today, it was awesome! A lot of my questions were answered by the education nurse that spoke to all of us before we got one on ones with the surgeon. I did have a few specific questions for the surgeon about my unique needs during and after surgery (I have type 1 diabetes). I also asked him about patients who haven't been successful and the reasons why he believed they didn't do well, and also about what he thought was a good goal weight for myself. I had a 4 page word document chalk full of questions before I went in, and I was able to get all of them answered, so start a list on your phone, and don't think any question is silly, if it's important to you, it's important to your surgeon. Good luck! And take a notepad!
